Vin Diesel destroyed his own franchise

Between given too much creative control over the direction plus his unprofessionalism on set, he honestly was the true final nail in the coffin for this franchise that went on longer than it should have. Now he won't even get the trilogy of final films that he wanted and instead it's reduced to two.

Furious 7 should had been the last one, really.

I agree. It was getting really over the top in 7. But I still had a bit of suspension of Disbelief. After 7 they took the next three films (and Hobbs and Shaw) to ridiculous places I didn't think they would. ....I was a huge fan of these films....and sadly I want to see the characters I once loved to just end and not come back...

I wish they would get back to the more grounded action like Brian driving his car and landing it on top of a boat in 2 Fast 2 Furious...

It's more realistic stuff like that they should be getting back to.

I didn't like part 1 of Fast X because the final scene was not a BBQ at Doms place. I am hoping for another BBQ in the final scene with this one. Or maybe even give us a plot swerve and they order some pizza and wings for take out instead

That's a fair point.

Yes, I'm hopeful that the whole series will finish with Dom inviting Aquaman to join the family for BBQ as is his way with previous villains...

Maybe the big twist for the final scene could be Dom taking a swig from his Corona beer (not the deadly virus) and then we get an extreme zoom close up to Dom's face all crunched up, like a baby about to burst out crying, and he says:-

"You know what? I don't even like Corona!". Then just a black screen with "The End".

I like that

12 movies in a franchise (including "Hobbs & Shaw") isn't a terrible run.
