Do outraged people watch these shows or...

... just the target rather than triggered audience?

I guess what I'm asking is do the film makers / producers make these casting decisions quite deliberately as a win-win because not only will they get their target audience but also those that are so "outraged" that they'll watch it anyway just to ensure their "outrage" was righteous?

Their outrage is righteous. Cleopatra was white. No amount of lying can change that fact.

I wouldn't say I was *outraged* as such. Just dismayed.

I certainly won't be watching. Maybe one needs to feel a stronger emotion than 'dismayed' to feel compelled to watch it.
