Sinister 3?

I loved the first one, liked the second one, now i want a third one.

Anyone know if there will be another one?

as long as people will be satisfied by a 90 hour movie that relies on 8-10 short clips, then yes.

this will become the new para activities.

But the snuff films were integral to the movie. I don't think anyone's going to want to hear a bunch of brutal murders being played out on a ham radio.

I don't understand why the radio would even go the deputy; it's not like he has kids of his own, and Dylan pretty much rejected that Michael Jackson-looking Slipknot-reject and his gang of pasty-a$$ child groupies.

reply

Curious what the plot for the third film will be.

reply

I don't think there will be a sequel after this. The tapes, and camera were destroyed. The last house is burned down, I don't see how the evil is going to spread now.

reply

wanna bet? ;)

Have heard there will be a third film, rumoured to be around July 2017, but its just a rumour and nothing solid

trust me, as long as they make a profit, they will milk this to death. they made this with 10 million and so far grossed 28 million and it is puzzling, that they even used so much money to produce this. the film could have easily been done with 2 million.

Ethan Hawke also destroyed the tapes in the first one. But when he got home, the tapes where still there (back again). Undestructable tapes :)

reply

Exactly. All they need is a 5 second scene of someone walking into the attic and shockingly seeing the tapes that were supposed to be gone, and they are back in action for the sequel.

But with no thread of houses, they'll have to come up with a way for Mr Boogie to get the tapes back into the world... with a little creativity I imagine that wouldn't be too hard... belief is what brings Freddy back... maybe a kid can be doing a report on mythology, and run across the mythology of Mr Boogie and start getting a little too deep into it which draws Boogie back, and he finds the tapes in a cave somewhere, but like the original tapes from our world locked in a crate or something...

Which makes me wonder how Bughuul is operating in modern times... Part of the "history" that they uncovered on him shows that he dates back to Babylonian and earlier time periods, and I doubt that there has been one unbroken chain of houses and victims since then.

Based on that, it must not be that big of a deal for him to start showing up, and it wouldnt really be that big of a deal for them to make some excuse for Sinister 3.

reply

My guess is the Baghuul was either perhaps once human, like Pinhead...
