Why did grown adults run away scared from a 10 year old boy?

at the end when the former Deputy guy saves mom & non-psychotic twin from the evil/psychotic twin 2, why did they run away terrified (into the cornfield!) from said 10 year old boy? as far as i know it's not like the boy had suddenly gotten super strength or anything. i didn't hate this movie (it's nowhere near as good as the first film) but this part of it was really stupid. so a grown man and grown woman (both wide awake and not drugged at the time this was happening) can't overpower a very skinny, little 10 year old?

Same problem I had with it and I agree with the rest of your post. I didn't hate this film as I've seen from many others, but the first thing I said was the twins should have been a bit older and bigger so as to make them more realistically threatening. Otherwise the ex-deputy could have easily snatched that kid in the corn field. Unless they gain adult strength (which the characters wouldn't know to be fearful of anyway), that whole sequence was just silly.

Lets not also forget that the kid they were fleeing from had just been hit by a car and gotten up as if nothing happened.

If he had supernatural abilities bestowed upon him it wasn't explained very well and fleeing from him was laughable 😱

The fact that he was run over by a speeding truck and rose unharmed wouldn't have frightened you?

Yep that was one of the silliest parts of the film. Even in the house, they are hiding from him. Any one of them could of over-powered that skinny kid. The other laughable part was when the Ex-Deputy smashed the camera and told him "it's over";the evil kid then runs away. I mean he just tried to kill you all and it's like they were not serious at all. 😂

And since when does an adult man become blade resistant?
Kid had a scythe and wasn't *beep* around - i'd run too, lol.
With that little utensil he has a greater reach than you do and isn't exactly reticent about using it - kid or not, trying to go toe to toe with him - trying to grab him or hit him with your bare hands is just asking to have something lopped off.

I think running away was smart considering how all those other kids managed to kill their entire families. How they ran away was dumb. There was a car 5 feet away and yet they chose to run through the field...dumb!

those other kids though were only able to do that because they drugged them an tied them up there was no way to fight back in real life i would have simply turned around bitch smacked the kid knocking him out throw him in the truck drive off call it a day lol
