1/10 (could've been 0). Here's why:

Whenever there’s a new found footage movie, people unfairly call it a PARANORMAL ACTIVITY rip-off inmediately. However, DEVIL'S DUE is. There are specific moments copied from the P.A. movies, but unlike the main characters from that franchise, ZACH MCCALL only checks what he has recorded once about halfway through the movie. Wasn’t he curious before? Which leads me to my next problem. If it wasn’t for SAMANTHA (his wife)’s growing belly, I would’ve doubted that the story was being told in chronological order. Throughout the entire 1st half, in every scene after something mysterious has happened, the characters act like nothing happened. It makes the previous scene feel pointless. It turns out that nobody found the footage. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett said that was on purpose because they knew that, nowadays, nobody believes that movies from the genre are real. If that’s the case, why tell the story as found footage? Actually, the gimmick is completely irrelevant to this story. I call *beep* They just didn’t want to make a movie that felt like a ROSEMARY’S BABY rip-off. I wouldn’t say that it's a rip-off (I would know, since I saw it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAING7Bj6Gc)). That’s the good news. The bad news is that it’s bland, forgettable and unscary.
