This movie would have been much better shot as a regular movie. There was literally no reason to make it a found footage film.
Do film makers think this is cool or relevant in 2014?
If you have to rely on a filming gimmick to make your film worth watching.....then you don't have much of a film.

shareNobody is forcing you idiots to watch found footage movies. Some of us happen to enjoy them. There are plenty of other movies out there. Go watch one of them instead of forcing yourself to see these and inevitably complaining about them afterwards.
shareProblem is, you never see them holding a camera. Viewers perspective is often like a FPS, which makes zero sense, unless they have cameras in their eyeballs..

The script was horribly HORRIBLY cliché. Copy and paste that to a more conventional narrative film, and you'd have the same boring experience. Only difference is that you wouldn't be constantly questioning why they're filming but it's really a minor inconvenience compared to the rest of this sorry excuse for a film.
Found Footage is still an effective genre but very few know how to take advantage of it. Then again, is it any different from the Slasher genre before it?
Stuff like this reminds me of "Movie Poop Shoot.com" from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

shareI agree that found footage style generally sucks and is really limiting at best. But even a traditional approach to this film would have made for a mediocre film. It would have looked like it was trying to be the Omen without any suspense. Just a poor husband that gets strung along and beat up and screwed over in the end. No knowledgeable helper who knows what terrible fate is unfolding. No suspense about the devil child or the potential of him not taking over the world. And what kind of movie would that be? How lame.

how DUMB is that??? I HATE westerns, the last one i have seen was django BS by the overrated tarantino, i am NEVER watching westerns again, but i didnt rate it or complained, it was my fault to begin with...
