The decetive at the end says to the husband that there is no record of the Doctor (the obgyn the couple saw) ..that she existed. How is that possible? Was she in on it and part of that stupid cult? And if that's the case then how did it come to be that they choose her as their doctor in the first place??

The replacement doctor said 'I don't think she'll be ABLE to come back." so that seems to indicate they killed her.
