French names really butchered


Is it possible in a tv show to butcher even more "french" names? I think not! I like this tv show but it had to be said...they pronounce french names horribly, each times, and it happens a lot in every episodes, i feel like my ears are gonna bleed!

Since virtually no version of The Musketeers has the French names spoken properly - English speaking versions anyway - most viewers won't even notice. These characters don't even speak French but perfect English, so..

It's not as bad as Michael York being in his 30's when he played the role of d'Artagnan, that stuck out like a sore thumb, even if he was quite good in the role.

French being my first language, I gave 'em an A+ for the pronunciation of most French names and words used, Monsieur Pasqualino doing quite well IMHO.

They did a better job than I would have expected of most English speaking people, and even better than if the actors had been from, say, the U.S. ...
