Milady not to feature as much in S3

According to an article that I read the other day '12 Shows Returning for 2016' *The Musketeers was among the 12* Maimie McCoy is set to only appear in about half of the season due to her pregnancy. I'm happy for the actress (love babies!), but I also hope this means that we won't have to endure another season of AAAAANGST and 'will they, won't they?' with Milady and Athos, and that he can move on and focus on being the new Captain. It also gave us a picture of Rupert Everett as Louis's nasty older brother, but other than that, no news on a premier date or anything 

Before anyone asks... I cannot for the life of me remember what page the article was on, I WANT to say that it was digitalspy, but I'm pretty sure that's wrong!

It now looks like Milady will either not feature at all in S3 or only as a guest character in the last one or two episodes, since Maimie had her baby / was heavily pregnant whilst the penultimate episodes were filming - ie episodes 7-10. By then, long-running storylines will be reaching their climax, so the producers wouldn't have been able to easily insert Milady into the series without it seeming out of place.

Like you, I think it's better for Athos not to be tied to Milady in S3 and for his new role as Captain to become more relevent, like I hope d'Artagnan's growth as a solider during war will be focused on more than his marriage to Constance

As for the airdate, producer Jessica Pope has said that March is the most likely time, with Howard Charles saying that he's heard late February or early March.

Oh blimey, I had no idea... I am SO behind on everything 

Milady only appearing in the last couple of episodes is a good thing, and not just because I'm not fond of the character or think it would be a terribly bad idea for her to reunite with Athos. It'll likely indicate to her and Athos meeting *hopefully for the last time* to clear the air, say their goodbyes and close the chapter on their relationship. i agree about D'Artagnan and Constance - We had two seasons of them dancing around each other, now they're married, what else could they possibly throw at us in regards to their relationship? I think the upcoming war will be the main focus of this season, and as it's been indicated that it's the last, they'll leave it open ended with the Musketeers venturing forth into the future as the brilliant soldiers they are *well, hopefully*

Also, thank you for the information lucy_loo1! I keep coming back here and trawling websites for info but have no real luck.
