Does anyone know the premiere date for Season 3? I googled it and can't find anything but speculation on the date of the 1st episode of the new season. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There's no confirmed date yet and producer Jessica Pope has stated that it may not air until the spring, which would mean March or April..

shareNNNOOOOooooo! Bummer. I was so set for this to start in Jan. Last year it did but the year before I think it was summer. We had season 2 on DVD by I think April. I want it NOW!
shareBoth Season 1 & Season 2 premiered in January. If Season 3 was going to premiere in January as well BBC would have confirmed it by now so I would think February at the earliest.
One reason for the delay could be explained if the BBC have decided to put it out Friday night as they did with season 2. I think they coped a bit of flack because on 3 occasions during season 2 viewers had to wait a fortnight for the next episode due to FA cup football & 6 Nations Rugby.
Perhaps the BBC have decided to get these events out of the way this year before premiering, so they can show all 10 episodes in 10 weeks instead of the 13 it took last year. If that is the case I would expect a premiere date sometime between mid Feb & early March. It will probably go out a week or 2 earlier on BBC America.
I wonder why it's not airing in January/February like it usually does? Did filming start later than normal for series 3?
shareS3 started filming only about 2 weeks later than S2, so that in itself wouldn't cause a delay of several months..
Also, there's been no confirmation that S3 won't air until the spring, Jessica Pope simply implied that it was a possibility. This time last year, Maimie McCoy mentioned February as the airdate for S2 and that turned out to be wrong, so who knows. I think the most important thing is that the BBC avoids a schedule that would result in the show being taken off air several times during its run, like with S2, grrrr.

shareIf BBC are putting it out on a Friday night again and want to avoid a clash with live sporting events then early March would make sense. There won't be any Friday night FA Cup football after Feb 12th and the only Friday night 6 Nations rugby match this season is 26 Feb, Although there is Sport relief in March so not sure if that will affect it!
