It looks like Milady's role will be greatly reduced in S3 - I don't know about "some" as the article puts it. Not only did filming start a month ago but apparently they're still in talks and that she "may" return for S3..

I'll be a little sad if she doesn't have a place in the next series but on the other hand, it might be nice to see Athos develop away from her.

I wonder if the scripts are being drastically altered? I imagine it must be pretty stressful for the writers to have to re-write large parts of the show at the last minute.

What wonderful news for Maimie though!! 

She mentioned in an interview about wanting to start a family, so I expect they weren't counting on her being around -- no reason she should need to be in storylines dealing with the war with Spain. She could come back at the end of Season 3 for the big show-down story or even just show up as a teaser for (I hope) season 4.

I'm glad she's (mostly) not around this season too -- not only less regulars to have to split screentime between, but that means Athos has more time to get past her. I hope he gets a new love interest too -- even if it's a onetime only love interest.

That would be nice.

I will miss her in the earlier episodes.

I know a lot of people are anti Milady/Athos, but I really like them.

It's difficult not to, when the chemistry between Maimie and Tom is just soooooo PALPABLE.

They would have to cast an actress with as palpable chemistry as Maimie has with him, to interest me.

Congrats to Mamie , but I am sort of glad she won,t be too much a presence in series 3! Her character only weakens athos. Maybe they get a new love interest for him, one that actually deserves him.

I can't say I'm sorry. Interesting character, but, I've had quite enough of Milady. She's gotten away with far too much and I hate her relationship with Athos as it really weakens him

Maimie McCoy has confirmed that Milady won't be in the third series of The Musketeers at a recent London convention..

This is no great surprise, since her baby is due in the next month or two and being a new mum will be her priority.

Good actress and great character, but, overused now. It'll be nice to see the back of her. Hopefully for good, but, no doubt she'll be back next series

I loved their version of Milady, but still, it makes sense for her not to be there in season 3.

Milady is a spy and will become bored with her life in England, that will be her entrance into the war.
Never every man replaces the love of their lives. Athos character has always been in love with Milady, even when he was in contempt of her. His ex-girl even recognized it. He will forever long for the 'perfect' love they had. Other women may want him, but his heart is forever taken.
