3 questions: neighbor Lucy, keys, and Margaret in bathroom [spoilers]

1. Can anyone explain to me Lucy's reaction to Doug's asked her for her spare key to the house? Why does she hesitate, then get judgmental? If someone asks you for your housekey, you hand it over, no questions asked, no?

2. I didn't understand the whole "keys went missing" thing in the house in Scotland. Who actually took them? Jess? Kenneth? Did someone actually throw them down the sidewalk grate? And how did they return to their place? Was someone jerking Gavin's chain?

Come to think of it, keys were a motif in this film...

3. What was Margaret actually doing in the bathroom? Having an anxiety attack?

Don't mean to be dense; the accents were a little hard for me to follow. Thanks!

1. Doug didn't live there any more, and he and Abi recently had an acrimonious split. It's implied she made false allegations against him (at one point she makes him do what she wants by threatening to scream rape, and he says "not again). From Lucy's perspective a man who's possibly a domestic abuser showed up asking for the keys to his ex-wife's house.

2. Jess took them and put them down the grate. Abi retrieves them.

3. Just crying. Maybe having an anxiety attack, or maybe a crying jag.

For 2, I'm not sure that's the case. This is how I interpreted what I saw:

Jess points to the grate, suggesting Kenneth dropped them down there. But then later, when Kenneth tackles her and knocks her over, the keys all go shooting out of her pockets. Doug and Abi exchange glances, then Abi scoops up the keys. The implication is that she hangs them back up when no one is watching.
