Anyone else smells Oscar [or BAFTA] here?
Oh, just for the heck of it. Does anyone [smell those awards]?

shareNope.
I saw it at TIFF, reactions were very mixed. I loved it, but judging by the rest of the films this year, Riot Club doesn't have much of a chance
A 2-y-o could have written a better script!
Pish, served up to morons as champagne! ;)
Nope. Past a few shocking scenes the plot design wasn't particularly good nor was the buildup and the maintenance of the momentum. Several scenes/monologues/dialogs looked distinctively over the top, forced, affected. If I'd have to describe the flow I'd call it jumpy or jittery. It might be given something in UK if it actually speaks to their hearts/minds/politics but outside of UK it doesn't really resonate. Just looks way too forced and artificial.
Also several actors look way too much like children which ruins believability even within their own microcosm. It doesn't matter what's the actual age of actors, but how they look and act on screen.
Bottom line - the concept is fine but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
No, not at all.

Nope not that good. Seriously underdeveloped characters/motivations.
sharepfffffffffffffffffffff no. max irons comes closest to a truly solid performance but even his role isnt fleshed out enough to have any sort of true depth. this is the stuff of the skulls, cruel intentions, etc. high school fluff movies about bad glamorous people. not a lot of substance.
