Found footage 'genre'
I thought the first person/found footage things was slowly going away?
I thought wrong.
We're all in strung out shape, but stay frosty, and alert.

It is the single worst ... 'genre' in existence. It's so pretentious, tedious and anything it had to offer has been sucked dry decades ago, yet popularity on a subhuman level of taste allows it to linger. They're gonna keep doing remakes of every movie concept from the perspective of found footage, and it's going to be extremely painful.
shareHold onto your hats for the inevitable "Star Wars: The Found Footage". How far could it possible be away?

Found Footage isn't that terrible if done right, but problem is that they are the cheapest so every fool with camera thinks he can do it, and they keep giving their movies for free to distributors.
Distributors being the greedy b******s that they are would rather sell those free movies for profit then pay some fine to legit and professional filmmakers.
For me, it's kinda Holy Grail these days finding horror flick that at least looks like professional film. They are either very cheap, amateurish or found footage\pov movie.
You know, what happen to horror flicks, let's say Friday the 13th sequels? They weren't that much, but at least they looked like proper professional movie made by actual filmmakers regardless if they were any good.

Hicks... I soooo wish you'd been correct, and been correct years ago (like one month, or day, after Blair Witch came out).
I actually liked Blair Witch, but have not liked a single found footage flick since.. given quite a few a chance because of great story-line descriptions, only to be insulted by... I do not even know if anything exists to properly insult the type of crap that's been rolled out by college/HS kids with one or two (non-matching) camcorders that are shaken HEAVILY, as if on purpose...
