What was Alexa PenaVega thinking when she did the film?

The Rapture is a wonderful thing according to lore. Yet no one seems to be having a good time in this film. Maybe the criteria are tougher than we ever imagined. All that love and forgiveness described by Jesus do not seem applicable here. Everyone goes to hell!!!

I'll take a huge meteor strike any day compared to this "Christian" vision.

I suppose all the people that dropped dead immediately were raptured, but I thought in Protestant lore, all raptured people simply disappeared. At any rate this movie sucked......

The Rapture is not a Protestant belief, it is a belief held by some Protestant sects.

There are even Churches that believe that any minute the end of the World is going to happen, such as the Seventh Day Adventists, who do not believe in the Rapture.

Even among those who believe in the Rapture there are those who believe is the disappearance of people and those who believe that it will be a completely public event with A Trumpet to announce God coming back and taking his People away.
