Where does all the Jesus money come from?

This is not the first nor last movie that is trying to sell Jesus, his "father" and the holy spirit.

I wonder where all the Jesus money comes from? Have the Christian Rights/Moral Majority won the lottery? They even sucked Nicolas Cage into "Left Behind"..

Tippy Gore managed to get the Parental Advisory sticker on music. Can't someone come out with a warning sticker on all these movies trying to sell the Bible??

Smells like desperation to me. Science is gaining more and more ground.

reply

what the hell is 'jesus money'?

reply

It's called 'funding'. It's how movies are made. Christian movies wouldn't be made if they never turned a profit. Get as angry or annoyed as you want but they'll keep coming and there's nothing you can do about it, thank God.

reply

Bull, they'll keep making this type of codswallop because they don't have to worry about turning a profit. They get plenty by fleecing there flock, and it will keep coming from the brainwashed ones. Keep your drool-cup near . . .

reply

What a senseless response. You did nothing more than confirm my point.

Ignorance of any culture is NOT considered COOL!
Bet most of these posters are going to vote for Kiliary... Oh Wait, they're not old enough!

reply

Amen! Science is now proving that that this stuff is actually true, In Archaeology anyway. If it can be proven that ruins existed to support Biblical
events, then WTF!

Spider-Man Fallacy: "Spider-Man lives in New York City. New York City exists. Therefore, Spider-Man exists."

All fiction has a setting. sometimes the writer chooses a real place as the setting. that hardly makes the fiction true.

reply

It would be nice if you could at least get your fallacies correct.

What are you even talking about? This is just a lame horror movie, not some "Christian Right" conspiracy to brainwash the masses.

1) How many people even saw this movie, or have even heard of it? If it weren't On Demand for free, I never would have seen or heard of it

2) MAJORITY of horror movies have Christian themes. Exorcist, Omen, Prophecy, 7th Sign etc. Dracula was hurt by crosses and holy water. Jason only killed the immoral. Hell, "This is the End" is the exact same plot as this, only funny.

So all those movies and you single this lame low budget crapfest that most people have never heard of?

From Heaven You Dumb *beep*

Cheesus budgeted the money to feed the starving children in Africa, but it was misappropriated to make propaganda ... as usual.

and Cheesus never learns.

reply

So what , just watch the movie , it was a bloody good film despite your prejudice - dont be such an a-hole!

Its uncle Frank Kirsty!
Its time to play!

I suppose if the movie was told from a satanists pov then we should also conclude that it was funded by satan worshippers and therefore ok, right?

Fact of the matter is The Remaining is no more propaganda for Christ than The Conjuring is for Satan. Be a grownup, suck it up and watch the movie if you must as nothing more than an apocalyptic horror movie told from a christian perspective instead of a satanists perspective as most every demon/paranormal themed movie you know is.

btw I prefer demon/paranormal themed movies, but I also enjoy a good decent horror movie like The Remaining regardless of who pays for it.

I think some of the churches have a bit of a protection racketeering, kidnap, ransom & child sex trafficking racket going on....

Actually I lied. God knows everything. What's happened, what's happening & (most important of all) what's going to happen.

With just a few strategically placed accumulator bets on the nag races, the odd well-paid lottery ticket purchase and maybe the odd chook raffle, god's cult instantly becomes extremely well cashed up!
