I’m a few episodes in and it annoys me that the first episode introduces itself as being set in 1985, then in the third episode one of the kids wants Reebok pumps, which didn’t come out until 89, and two of the cast members go to see poltergeist in the theaters, which came out and 82. Is the series as sloppy as the timelines?

its super sloppy on timelines, it jumps all over the place, one episode has the berlin wall coming down and a few episodes later Reagan is running for office in 88.
my guess is that the show starts in 1986 or 87. but yeah, continuity is bad...
Thanks, I’ll stick with it for a little while longer, it’s not bad and I appreciate the nostalgia. I’d probably like it a lot more if they didn’t jump from year to year in the same episode but if it’s a common thing I’ll try to just ignore it.
