What happened with Adam's friends?

In the most recent episode, Adam was spending lunchtime in the computer lab with some other guys. By the description on the page for that episode, it was so Beverly could get worried about Adam's social standing and get him kicked out of the lab. I watched the episode but I wasn't looking when Beverly (famous for putting cheese on everything) somehow "cheesed" a floppy disk drive so Adam would be blamed! I can only imagine that she inserted a slice of cheese as if it was a diskette!

I think they all wanted to get in with the cool kids so they went their own ways. I remember even going from 10th to 11th grade, kids I previously hung out with, didn't want anything to do with me anymore because they got new friends. It's just how it is when you're young sometimes. Other people will be friends their whole lives. I know people that are friends and even do business with people they have known since elementary school.

I don't think it was really explained. Maybe they have different lunch hours.
