Bron/Broen VS The Bridge VS The Tunnel
I have seen the three shows and they are the same. Not big differences, besides the casting and the place of action.
I watched The Bridge, then Bron/Broen, and finally The Tunnel to see if they were different or just the same story told over and over again. But what a waste of time... they could have a twist or change something to create a new story, but nothing. If you've seen one, you've seen them all.
The only exception is the American version by FX, which besides the main storyline (and given the fact that the season is three episodes longer) tells the lost girls of Juárez storyline and gives a more prominent role to the reporters as well as the character of the wealthy widow Charlotte.
On the other hand, the American version also introduces much better the main antagonist and he has a much more developed role in the whole season, he doesn't appear and establishes a friendship with the wife of the lead out of nowhere that happened in the other versions.
If I had to chose I don't know which one of the three versions I prefer. I never really liked the storytelling of this show, if I'm honest. I do prefer The Killing. That being said, the English/French pair were my favourite ones, since I quite like these two actors (Stephen Dillane and Clémence Poésy), and I though Diane Kruger struggled with her role in the US version.
Where were the storylines taken in the following seasons of each version? Did each version follow its own path?
