Silly anti-NHS comment

When Laura has to go to hospital and the doctor says 'your results will be with you shorlty, but with this being the NHS I wouldn't take that too literally'. Anyone the UK ever had a doctor say that to them? It's just more sad NHS bashing from Murdoch an his minions.

'Well I've got two words for you - STFU'

Neither Murdoch nor anyone associated with him or his media wrote this screenplay, and given the longterm (by now) Tory attempt to gut, destroy, or privatise the NHS, I'd say this was a very timely and prescient bit of dialogue. Plus it's called humor.

Huh. I found the "useless flap of skin" remark slightly more offensive. And I'm a woman.

I'm with you, sister. I must've blinked and missed something because it seemed inappropriately out of context and coarse.
