Elise Wassermann, autistic?

Gotta be, right?

I have also wondered about Elise. I believe that she may have Aspergers Syndrome, google it & it's the same behaviour as Elise's character.

I cannot live without my life! I cannot live without my soul....... Heathcliff, Wuthering Heights

Yeah I was originally going to say Aspergers but the symptoms seemed too extreme. Seems like she's got a minor amount of autism since she can achieve quite a bit but is still robotic, socially inept, and obsessive.

This is a remake/redo of The Bridge the Swedish thriller and Sofia Hellins character Saga on which Clemency Poesys character is based, has Aspergers x

reply

I would say she has Asperger's.

You've watched The Bridge, right? Similar syndrome....with lots of discussions.

In the original ("The Bridge"), the comparable character was autistic, but in the DVD extras for "The Tunnel", Clemence Poesy says that Elise is not (necessarily) autistic, but rather that she was traumatized when her twin died and so her natural reserve and unsociable behavior intensified.

There was no "twin" storyline in "The Bridge", this was created for "The Tunnel" to create a reason for Elise's behavior.

Yes, very much the same as Sonya (Diane Kruger) in The Bridge
