THE WHITE QUEEN: Mary's White mourning Dress
I love this season..., just realized it was airing. The characters have fully blossomed (obviously the production teamwork has too)-so fulfilling and rich-dontcha think?. I love the twists and turns of the true story intertwined with just the right dose of WISH FULFILLMENT Fantasy...dreaming of the beauty that can be when two people truly love each other, the fascinating tale of Mary Queen of Scots short marriage and REIGN as Queen, palace intrigue with an interesting cast of characters@ play... the stuff of awesome storytelling. (fine men!!!)
Anyway. While this show opened up a research portal for me to dazzle in, and yes, I'm absolutely in love with noble stories of kings queens, knights, wizards, princesses and princes, scribes, scholars, holy high priests and priestesses, fairies---(dazzling) through this research, I have now found REIGN to be more mystical and life-like everyday.
For instance, Mary's WHITE MOURNING DRESS which earned her the title of THE WHITE QUEEN (wow) is refreshingly indigenous and I'm sure quite different for modern culture with its' BLACK mourning attire standard. hmmm, was that a Catholic thing? Just curious?
