Reign to end after Season 4.
It isn't surprising. I really enjoy this show and hope they will truely give fans like me closure.

According to sources, the writers have known for a while that this was likely so they were prepared for it to be the series finale.
shareI was kind of surprised but at the same time not surprised. This is what happens when you make Francis THIS likeable and then kill him off ( and yes, historically I know he had to die) I loved mary in season one and actually began to hate her in season 2. I started to like her again in season 3 but there were just so many stories that went back and forth.
ex: Kenna makes progress with bash then becomes selfish again
ex:the disaster of greer and leith
ex: Claude is selfish, oh no now she's not
ex: Bash only has story lines pretty much outside the castle with random women and pagan stuff
ex: Mary and Catherine are enemies, now they're friends, now they're enemies....etc
ex: francis is dying, no he's not, yes he is, no he's not...oh he's dead.
ex: Lord castleroy marries important character, then goes to jail, nobody bothers to do anything about it until greer needs a baby daddy.
ex: Nostradamus randomly shows back up but takes almost no part in the show, appears once or twice.
ex: Greer randomly meet pirate, pregnant, talks to pirate one more time, never see pirate on show again.
ex: Lola willing to assassinate Elizabeth after having been the voice of reason for several seasons.
ex: Narcisse. He's good, he's bad, he's good, he's bad.
I was kind of bummed to hear it was cancelled, but at the same time relieved not to be jerked around by these plot lines anymore. When mary was awful in Season 2 I told myself as soon as francis dies I'm done with this show. Then by the time he did die I had started to like mary again. I just hope Meghan follows gets another gig after this because she is amazing, the best part of the show. Her and narcissi were the best actors on there.

It doesnt really have anything to do with Francis. The show is ending because the ratings werent very high, which was the case even before Francis died. In fact, the show hit a season high in some episodes after his death.

Yeah the show is getting really all over the place. I still watch but just am not as invested as I was. Since it's all just bs now lol
