They're drawing this out for 4 seasons? That's hilarious.

This show should have had one season with Pablo getting killed in the last episode. I was appalled when I saw they're going two seasons, as the actual story already spread pretty thinly.
Now it's already 4 seasons and a total drag. There's very little happening, certainly nothing exciting.

Bad case of greed ruining a good premise.

No, you just misunderstood the premise. The premise was always to make it a sort of anthology series about the history of the drug trade and the narcos who run it, beginning with Escobar and working its way up to the Mexican cartels.

reply

OK, my mistake...so what episode do you think will Pablo be killed so we can move on,

reply

I've already seen season 2...

reply

OK, I don't believe you. I still think they're going to milk Pablo's story for 4 seasons, that's why this moves along at such a snail pace.

reply

OK, I don't believe you

Either stupid (not an insult, just a fact) or a troll (which is pathetic).
The whole season has been "aired" already (as of September 2nd), and most people here already saw it.

Pablo is dead, he and Limon got shot after killing Maritza

...but they hung him anyway.
Hanged, Ami. Your father was not a tapestry.

reply

Yeah I know but I don't binge watch - I have a life. I'm at EP 3 now and can't take how slow this moves anymore. Will it pick up soon?

reply

You have a life, but perseverate online about upcoming seasons. You're a douche. And, no, you don't have a life...

reply

you have a life, yet here you are. he dies in the last episode of season 2, moron.

reply

listen *beep* premise of the show is the history of narco cartels in Columbia, maybe they'll move into Mexico. You still have two major Cartels.. Cali Cartel which is very interesting cause it's being run like a legit enterprise, and Norte del Valle Cartel which is the last one to perish. Then you move to mexico to Sinaloa, Tijuana and other Cartels. It's a good premise, it shouldn't stop with Escobar's death. And tone down the douchebaggery, you're obnoxious

reply

...anymore stupid questions op??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

just when you thought you read it all...
little happening? Are you serious? They managed to cram the whole story of Pablo into two seasons and you think that is streched? Yeah, sure, why not...

Maybe you are not into story development and character building, but most of us are.

...but they hung him anyway.
Hanged, Ami. Your father was not a tapestry.

reply

Yes, but the story of Pablo was barely enough for one season - I was expecting him to die in the S1 finale. This new season is nothing but a slow-moving, boring attempt to draw it out.

Even if he finally dies in the last episode of S2, the first few episodes of S2 are like watching paint dry.

lame hyperbole is lame.

If this is slow for you...
Yeah whatever, not my cup of tea to judge your "taste" anymore than I already have.

Goodbye then

reply

Kyumonryu,

I totally agree with you, because you are exactly correct. I am learning new things every episode as they are doing a good job of cramming, in a good way, info and facts into the show.

reply

Problem is that it's centered around the Cali cartel, but Ochoa gave himself up ten months before Pablo was killed.

So..not sure how they expect it to be even remotely accurate.

reply

Mmm Ochoa was one of the "founders" of the Medellin cartel, you're thinking of the Rodríguez Orejuela brothers...Spoiler alert! they got captured less than 2 years after Escobar was killed.

reply

Season 2 should have been the last because Seasons 3 and 4 won't even be about Pablo any more. Heck, just make a spin-off show instead.

Edit: If the producers wanted to make each new season into a new story (sorta like Fargo) then the first season should've been 24 episodes (so it'd have space enough to tell its story than feel rushed/incomplete) long fully about Pablo. Then, the second season about a different drug story and so on.

Yeah, they should have asked for your permission...

That's a lame comeback. Fargo did these "story seasons" a lot better.

a fictional story about fictional characters did a show of a different genre better than Narcos? You don´t say...

That's a lame comeback

honestly, who cares?

Narcos was executed almost perfectly (maybe a bit rushed) and Pablo got exactly the screentime they needed to tell his (in parts fictional) story. Now it´s great that they keep on doing what the title promises, a look into the world of these *beep* up Narco bastards.
I hope they keep on dedicating each story the screentime it needs to unfold instead of cutting it down in order to fit some supposed format.
A new story each season does not neccesarily work.

reply

I'll miss the Pablo story, but if the second two seasons keep up the quality of the first two, I'm all for it. This story has multiple chapters. It doesn't end with his death.

reply

Personally, I think they should skip to Mexico after this season. That's a whole other show in itself, only it hasn't really been resolved yet.

reply

The show is called NARCOS, not The Story of Pablo Escobar. Unless you've been in a cave during the past 25 years, you'd realize drug trafficking didn't end the day Pablo died. There are enough story lines to keep this show going for many many years to come.
