He's a monster but I can't help but like Pablo

I think it has a lot to do with Wagner Moura's amazing acting, but I've found myself liking and even at times caring for Pablo despite all the despicable crimes he has committed. I don't think I've ever felt that way about such a clear cut antagonist.

I think it is because of his love for his wife and children, other than that there is nothing redeming about this guy.

But than again, Wagner Moura is a Brazilian national treasure and he manages to brings life to the Pablo Escobar character.

Pablo could be very charming. So could Hitler. You don't get thousands of followers unless some people like you.

I think it has everything to do with Wagner's charisma and talent. He managed to show Pablo's human side, the father and husband. Not only the drug lord and killer he was.
