Has any character ever used a beeper on this show?

At least a lot of the chronological hot messes from last season were fixed, especially with the cellphones, but I wonder how no character has a beeper? Seems REALLY odd.

I was watching an episode last night in season 2 where Murphy uses a cellphone and thought it was funny, because in just about every scene last season where he needs to make a call, he's whipping out the SAT phone, and Colombian police also had cellphones in restaurants, some that didn't even exist at the time.

Then you watch American Crime Story on FX set in 1994-1995 and big-time lawyer Robert Shapiro is making land line calls at restaurants, lol. Cellphones were coming around to the general population at that time in larger numbers, but not everyone did have them, but it's a lot more accurate than what was going on in the first season of Narcos.

Satelite phones and cell phones were available in the late 80's and early 90's. An actually the search block were able to track Escobar down for that last shootout because he had used his cell phone.

Plus in the late 80's and early 90's many 3rd world and developing countries and massive cell phone networks because cell phone networks were cheaper and easier to build than landline networks. And as a result, cell service and phones were a whole lot cheaper during in those countries than they were in the U.S at the time.

Also the cell service in the U.S wasn't as expansive as it was in these other countries, so in the U.S landline service was far more reliable than cell service. And in the developing countries, at the time cell service was far more reliable than landline service, and it was far more available.
