List the things that did not happen in the real story

The only one I know is Col. Carrillo didn't exist. He was loosely based on Col. Martinez, but they added another Martinez in season 2, and killed off Carrillo (so that probably didn't happen)

What else?

Did he really have a driver named Limon?

Pablo's shirts weren't really as cool as in the show.

Dorothy Mantooth is a saint!

really? I thought that was an accurate thing, maybe not the handcuff knot shirt, but I did see an image of the real Pablo in the golf shirt

Sorry but I can't find any source in english but yes, he was nicknamed Limón and died nearly as depicted.

Limon was his driver/bodyguard and had a fate similarly as depicted in the show.

The thing i don't get was why they had Los Pepes murder Valeria when she's alive and well and living in the U.S. (they changed her name in the show - her real name was Virginia Vallejo).

reply

Good one about Valeria. Thanks for the info.

Quica wasn't captured in Medellin and betrayed Pablo Escobar. He was living in New York when he was captured

There were a lot of things. In the top of my mind:
1. Judy Moncada is mostly fictional.
2. M19 leaders died all in the Palacio de Justicia.
3. The sword of Bolivar was given to the Colombian government when they sign a peace accord with the rest of the M19.
4. the Escobar mug shot was revealed by the press (Fidel Cano, director of El Espectador was killed for that).
5. Fernando Duque is mostly fictional.
