Season 2 just went off the rails

Season 1 got away from fact and leaned towards fiction a little, but it didn't detract from anything. Season 2 has just gone so far from fact that it feels lazy. It doesn't feel like it is based on any truth anymore (I've only read a few books and articles on Escobar, so I am no historian).

Anyone who doesn't know the details of the true story should no doubt love this show, including season 2, but does anyone else have a hard time loving season 2 when it creates so many fictitious stories and events?

Escobar's life kinda slowed down at this point. If they didn't embellish the show would have no purpose or entertainment value

Season 2 was far most close to reality that Season 1.

I loved Season 2. Almost better than the first.

It's not a biopic or documentary, it's a series based on true events...

There's a lot of stuff that was never established beyond any reasonable doubt, before or after Pablo's death, so at some point, it's not even only about creative liberty being taken by the writers, but also about blaming Pablo for stuff that he might not really have had much to do with.

To be honest, the series worked for me exactly because they didn't try to stick to reality at all, so instead of expecting something realistic which would have had me nitpicking on the inconsistencies, I just forgot everything I knew about Escobar and enjoyed the ride...
