Finally, they give Amy Manson some juicy screen time...

...and SHE DELIVERS... as always!

By the end of tonight's episode, they had taken this show to its highest level to-date... and mostly because Amy's portrayal of Medea is becoming VERY intriguing!

Have to agree, her scenes were pretty awesome. I loved all her development with Jason. Following the myths we knew it was going to happen, and they played it out marvellously. Got to say the ending caught me a bit by surprise, I didn't expect her join them so soon, but I assumed she would simply escape at some point and go back to Pasiphae. I never expected she would stab Ariadne.

Well it looks like its going to continue as well, the next seems to be centred partially on her, only Jason's after her blood.

It's definitely gotten a lot darker, grittier which used to be the main complaint on this board.

I never saw Season 1, but this new episode suddenly has me hooked on the new direction of this show!

I'd much rather watch the mysterious Medea evolve into an intensely formidable foe, than have the screentime dominated by this mouthy version of Hercules, mostly behaving like a pig.

You misspelled "Etroll". This Hercules is great, and Mark Addy is playing him phenomenally. I could do with less of Medea's stupid brush-over. I roll my eyes every time I see her. I suppose it's to make her look 'edgy'.

Poster eTOLLE is intelligent and thoughtful and in no way a troll.

That said, I agree with you about the characters and the actors. I think Hercules is a wonderful mix of funny and poignant, and Addy balances that beautifully, and that Medea (in addition to her stupid hair) is very one-note, not interesting, and I don't think the actress is elevating that in any way.

The character ought to be wonderfully dramatic, and she's just flat to me.
