Continuing the story

If the show were definitely not to continue it would be nice if the creators could continue the story in another way, perhaps in an e-book or by writing a comic series (as Joss Whedon did with Buffy). From what I hear, there were originally intended to be 5 series of Atlantis, so there must have been a lot more they wanted to do. I’d just like to know where the characters stories were ultimately headed.

I doubt they had 5 series of this planned out in any kind of detailed fashion. I mainly hope that they tweaked the end of the season to be a proper series finale. IF they have more story to tell after that then comics would work... though maybe just one big book to tell the complete story from beginning to end so it could appeal to people that didn't see the show at all.
