Possibly dumb question

What happened with Medusa? She was a gorgon when Pasiphae coerced her to kill the Oracle. But then suddenly when Hercules sees her, she's not a gorgon anymore. Did they explain that? Did Pasiphae trade the Oracles death for a "cure" for the curse? When Hercules told Pythagorus he'd seen Medusa, Pythagorus didn't bat an eye at it or marvel that his friend is still flesh-and-blood rather than stone.

So what did I miss?

reply

Yep, she traded the death for her "cure."

Thanks for the quick answer. Still think it's odd that nobody is even batting an eye at the news that Medusa's been cured. Or even asking about it. (Here in the states, the season has pretty much just started, so that's why I'm remarking on it.)

Yah, I'm in the U.S., too. I just saw that. You're right, they did kind of gloss over that. She was all snakes on her head when she walked out of the prison cell after killing the Oracle, then the next time we see her she's hiding in that room suddenly snake-free when Hercules finds her. I, too, was astonished that people upon seeing her weren't immediately shocked or try to cover there eyes, since as far as anyone knew looking at her would turn them into stone. I'm not even sure they knew she had snakes on her head since they couldn't actually look at her, so how would they instantly know she was cured from just looking at her, save for the fact that they didn't turn into stone.

Anyway, everyone does seem to be a little underwhelmed about the whole Medussa's cured situation, but that's now understandable given Jason's current predicament. Still, I think it deserved a bit more dramatic pause at the time it happened, though, or even a portrayal of it actually happening would have been nice.

Carl Grimes will one day rule the world!

I read that Medusa will get her snakes back. Looks like she will fess up to her deed to save Jason. Maybe that is why she negates the cure. And I'm in the U.S. too.
