Goodbye, Atlantis

In spite of what many in other threads have noted, said, etc., I find myself VERY disappointed in the cancellation - at least at this point in the story... tonight (8/8/15) will be the series finale in my location (Eastern US) and I'm oddly at half a mind to not watch it... I would have loved at least 1/2 more season, if only to get to Jason and the Argonauts! But I WILL watch it, in spite of my better judgement, and I will be sad to see it go. *sigh*

No words for what I just saw. How can they end a series with a final episode like that? Did I miss the memo? Are they doing a third series?!

I font know what cave you were living in but shows end on cliffhangers or knee dived storylines all the time. Only shows that know their ending have some kind of resolution or closure. Sometimes disastrously ie. Dexter.
One solution as what happened to Farscape ( where the two main characters were seemingly killed ) was to resolve the crisis and have a conclusion in a miniseries. Alas I don't see that happening here. Adios Atlantis!!

There have been fantasy shows that don't end each series with a cliffhanger. This was Atlantis, not Dallas.

I'm pissed off it ended on a cliffhanger. Its a shame. The programme was getting better and better and bam! cancelled.

There is nothing ruder than canceling a show on a cliffhanger. If BBC didn't want to continue the series then give the creators enough time to tie things up. That ending was clearly setting up a 3rd season. Just sucks

The thing is that if they just edited the final segment , it could have served as a proper finale. I mean we saw Pasiphae getting stabbed on screen. Oh well.

Obviously they thought they were going to be renewed.

I swore I heard that the creators were not going to leave it S a cliffhanger. But being Atlantis back .one good drama on BBC in England and they cancel it .
Even if we do a petition they won.t bring it back they could do in book form.
