I understand that this film isn't everyone's cup of tea, and while I enjoyed this film, I wasn't sure that A LOT of others disliked it that much.
All I need is one mic...
It was mindless fun for the evening. I gave it a 6. The fight in the streets between the Darlings and that other group was really funny! So was the opening scene so it had its moments.

It had some moments, but most of the jokes were cringeworthy. The 6 other people that were in the theater seemed a little more impressed than I was though.
shareI just watched it and I am between giving it a 5 (borderline disapproval) or a 6 (borderline approval). It was okay... for the most part. Melissa McCarthy is a gem, I enjoyed Peter Dinklage and the little girl is actually a fine actress too. But not all jokes hit the spot. I think like most average comedies, this one is stuck between being family friendly and raunchy and never really fully committing to neither.
