My favourite FPS games have been ones with lone protagonists against alien or demonic invasions on isolated research bases, which is basically Doom and Half-Life 1! These are the only PC games I play, and I don't like sequels like HL2 or Doom Eternal.
As for this movie, you can feature HL2's crap all you want, but if you diss the CLASSIC that is the original HL1, then I'll be baying for your BLOOD!!

shareI preferred HL when it was Black Mesa and endless clones of scientists, security guards and soldiers. I guess I just prefer corridor shooters or those in isolated research bases with alien/demonic invasions. Doom 1/2/3/2016 and HL fall into that category. Everything else in gaming, especially open-world gaming, just doesn't interest me. I mean, if Id Software's Rage was any indication of how the industry would go, count me out, and yes, I did play it and complete it, but it felt like an utter chore, with errands, boring racing, and boring concept, even if the combat was OK.
