people aren't walking around with security just because they are rich, especially if their enemies are only corporate with no clear reason to go after him physically. Regan's got some accounting violations, nothing overtly criminal.

if you don't believe just test it by riding through some of the wealthiest neighborhoods of any major city at least in USA. You can just drive up the driveway and go ring the doorbell. There will be no security there if the money is made in a "legitimate" endeavor
But he should've hired some thugs or goons immediately. That was my only problem with the movie. Even though it was awesome to see Brosnan do bond type stuff again.
