Get a better IT guy?

I agree, this was the one of the biggest issues I had with the movie. Why not hire a team of IT experts and maybe lawyers? Especially when it was getting serious, affecting his family and later the cops got involved. From there the new team might tell them to go to a hotel and change phones and cpu etc. Problem solved until the IT guy started with the fabricated emails and the story could still somewhat continue from there.

Didn't mind the film for what it was, but with someone who has that much money, like you mentioned, surely they would explore more avenues, including not breaking in and instead creating an alibi etc, regardless of how personal it got for between the two. One could perhaps argue, when it became personal, maybe all logic went out the window for Mike, but even then he had lots of chances to bring in big guns.

The problem I had with the whole I.T thing is why bring in a I.T guy to fix the speed of your internet. Think about it, if your internet is running slow wouldn't you contact your internet provider? Usually if the internet is running slow you would get a better modem, router, get a faster internet service, or just have the company check the connection. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, but it made no sense at all. To make matters worse, the wife blamed Mike for bringing in the I.T guy, but to be honest anyone could of done the same as Porter.

Nah... he was a super hacker in this movie's universe. Plus he already had an I.T team that was most likely extremely skilled. But he eventually got that other super hacker dude that helped him out. My only problem is that he didn't hire any thugs or karate guys. Or why he didn't hire a thief to steal the thumb drives.

he should have used his money and had the guy killed...
