Is it really that bad?
Wanna watch it this Sunday with the family for movie night and I never pick a bad movie. Except for 3 Days to Kill which I am still apologizing for.

shareNo, it's not bad at all, but not great, either, but more importantly, there are better movies out there, for sure.
So far, none of the August releases have surprised... which isn't really surprising, that's why they are August releases and not May/June/July releases.
But no, it's not horrible, either, just don't go in expecting too too much and you'll probably be able to enjoy it, unless you're a real purist about the video game (which I'm not).
a) yes, it is really that bad. it's an insult to anyone's intelligence - and that's just judging within the action genre.
b) (more importantly) it's rated R for a reason. I don't know who you take along for "family movie night", but if I had children younger than 16, I would certainly not take them along. there are so many "by the way"-kills I lost count. It's a constant shooting-nameless-guys-right-in-the-face mess. again, (see above), without the fun.
Actually really liked it. When I mean family, basically just me and my brother. We enjoyed it. We didn't expect much since it's an action/assassin movie. Rupert Friend was great!
shareIt's..it's just bad. I really wanted to like it and I will tolerate most films even if they aren't great. I made it to the end even though I almost fell asleep a few times during the "action". Thats what happens when there is no reason for the action. Basically things happened but none of them made much sense. You have such a low investment in any of the characters that it doesn't really matter any more what they are doing. The plot is completely nonsensical. Just watch the trailer. It's about 30 mins shorter and way better.
