I'm in full boycott of these films until They lay Jason Statham the money he deserves to do these films the right way.

Absolutely agree in terms of physical presence. His build, martial arts background, and facial features are fairly spot on for the role. The only downside is that Agent 47 is on the tall side and fairly pale. Otherwise, they look near identical.

That's right. And don't forget he's a great actor, so he'll be able to act the character great. A better actor than Olyphant and probably Rupert too.

I'm sorry but on what planet is statham a better actor than olyphant? I ain't a statham hater but he's the same character in every single film he does, he's got one style of acting an that's it

I agree with the OP.

For this particular role he is a better fit than Olyphant. I have liked Olyphant since Scream 2, but I remember when the first Hitman game and Transporter movie came out around the same time, the first thing I thought was

"This guy would be PERFECT for Agent 47!" (Him and Bryan Fury in a good Tekken Film, but that's another thread on another forum)

Statham has the star power these films need to do them the right way...and I like Rupert in Homeland and other works, but not for my Agent 47

Why? Just because he's bald and wears suits in a majority of his films?

Anyone who thinks Statham would make for a great Agent 47 is either clueless or has never played the games, much less studied the character. He's the anti-47.

Agent 47 isn't short (he's 6'2" in the games), doesn't have a strong, fresh off the boat cockney accent, and isn't a physical assassin (he's very methodical in his approach to situations). All of which Statham is.

Bruce Willis pretty much nailed the most accurate Agent 47 (on film) to date with his portrayal in Lucky Number Slevin.

JS is probably the worst of the three actors. It's not the actor...it's the director, writer, producers that effed this up.

This seems like a decent cast...

I think Joel Kinnaman would make a great Agent 47, he held his own in Robocop I think it would be a good role for him be a lot different than Statham also Liev Schreiber from Ray Donavon could pull it off I think, I still enjoy Stathams work tho and he is at top of his game when it comes to action.

Anyone who thinks Statham would do better than Bateman is an idjit. Please go watch Fast & Furious X/Transporter X instead, ta!

Or if you did watch it, do you know what boycott means?
