Was Jim some sort of clairvoyant where he foresaw Laura's bloody suicide, but didn't realise it? And did Kirsty put pins in Tony's costumes in an attempt to maim him in order to allow Jim to take over (which of course failed so she spiked his health juice with vodka instead)? And why exactly did Laura kill herself?
Any theories?

Presumably because Jim broke up with her when he became successful? Possibly in part because he though she was responsible for the crippling.
