Seance Time

That was great, I just wish it had been longer as it finished a bit too quick.

It was pretty good, I agree that it ended too quick, I was hoping the spooky twist would happen sooner. Still didn't beat Andras though. lol

Did the presenter have a knife in his hand at the end?

I wish messrs Pemberton and Shearsmith would right an out and out horror, this was the nearest thing to one. Spine tingly chilling, at the end.

I'm sure they paced it like the classic Dead of Night film.... Building tension, Pemberton enters the scene and starts messing things up, bringing laughs akin to the golfers anecdote, and then ..... BOOM ! the nail-biting end.

Did you see The Harrowing (episode 6) from series 1? That is an out and out horror episode and a damn good one too.

My problem with this episode is it feels like they couldn't decided weather to make this a horror or a comedy. So instead it ended up being neither and I found the ending weak. If they kept the episode a serious one about a seance then they could have been on to something but to make it about a hidden camera show robbed the episode of all suspense.

Oh yes, I had seen that one, but having recently seen House of the Devil, I felt I knew what was coming.Maybe I should rewatch, because at the end, all I could think about was that the weird one upstairs was like an emaciated Jimmy Savile.

But there were viewers who felt that the ending of 'The Harrowing' was weak as well and that it ended too abruptly without a satisfying conclusion and/or resolution. I personally enjoyed 'The Harrowing' quite abit and felt that the ending was fine, although I would preferred to have seen a follow up scene revealing what had happened to the babysitter herself and what ultimately became of her. I just felt that they could have maybe used a final jolting jump scare involving her.

They're certainly good at building tension, I agree that they should do a pure horror story, just one.

I think this episode has the best characters. They could make a TV series with these characters alone. I can't believe I didn't guess the twist, it seemed so obvious. I was laughing a lot throughout.

"Do you know I was very almost Marple, they said I wasn't sweet enough FOCKERS"

They definitely should make a third series! Best thing on British TV at the moment!

The episode was good until the very end. They forgot the make up of the child? How can that be scary? Extremely cheap (tentative of) jump scare.

I was just glad that the kid did the same to Reece's character he did to him. Serves him right. I love Reece but his character was an obnoxious prick in this.
