Episode 3 (spoilers)

I found it a bit confusing, was it the girlfriend only who wasn't real?

Was Migg real but Tom was imagining him hiding his mail deleting messages etc?

reply

I think the fact that Steve was able to see the drowned Migg (presumably because of Tom murdering him to get rid of him thinking he was imagined, Fight Club style), means that Migg was indeed real and Gerri was not. I also think that it was really Migg that hid the mail and deleted the messages.

What i'm unsure of is whether Gerri was real at the start of the episode (before she had the car crash), or whether she was also imaginary then.

That is what I have a question about as well. I am leading toward she was always imaginary.

It is hard not to sound condescending when you are explaining things to an idiot!

I think she was real as Stevie (and the rest of the colleagues at the school) acknowledged her death. She probably died 5 months prior as when her play is mocked by Tom she says she hadn't worked in 5 months.

i just watched the show and asked myself the same question ,was Gerri real at the beginning of the story ?
But i also wonder something that lead to the first question (is Migg real or not?) :
WHY exactly is Migg hiding behind a door when Tom wants to prove to the unreal Gerri that his friend is real & in the bathroom?
this scene just make no sense or is there a clue i don't get?

reply

Andy, I suggest you do the same thing.

Off-topic.

3rd episode wasn't really a comedy, am I right?

reply

Yes, it was a comedy. The punchline was Migg in the bath. However dark, it was still a joke.

As for the OP, as has been mentioned, Jerri had been dead for 5 months, hence her not working. Steve saw Migg dead, Jerri was always imaginary from the start of the episode, and I guess Tom murdered Migg after the imaginary Jerri told him Migg wasn't real. Migg was robbing Tom all along.

Loving this series so far. Each epiode has been very entertaining.

Thanks for the explanation.
