All I can say is that I loved it. The acting was sublime, and both Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin did an amazing job!so did the secondary actors. I cried, I laughed, and Cried so more. I have not yet read the books knowing what would happen, and honestly having a main Character die, usually puts me out of reading. But having watched the movie because I am a big fan of both Emilia and Sam, I am really curious about the book, also the sequel of it. So I am wondering cosidering there is a second book will there be a second movie.. I know the movie just came out, but I am curious will there be a sequel?
I'm so sorry, but did the writer of the first book write the sequel? Lou going to a support group is the most horrible idea I've heard all week. What a waste. What a way to ruin a perfect story by Lou, a character almost as good as Danaerys Targaeryen in how I rank strong female characters... Uh... F.ck my life I shouldn't have even gone on this board.
I usually don't read romantic novels but I read this one before watching the film. The book was better than the movie ( it always is ... ), it took a deeper look at things and charcters, I liked the film very much, especially because of the chemistry between the two leading actors, but I wish the screenplay could have included some important dialogues and moments that would have helped understand the characters and their choices better. A second movie? Personally I hope not. I got curious when I heard of the second book and I had a look at it, I skimmed through it really, I couldn't really get myself to properly read it, I disliked it so much. Oddly I couldn't feel anything for the old characters, I didn't even "recognize" them, and some of the new ones I found very irritating. So I'm going to "pretend" this sequel does not exist. :-)
"Please, if you are trying to convert me, this isn't a good time"
I have heard many people say the sequel was a waste and the first book is better. Apparently Will had a daughter with an ex girlfriend, Lou meets a new guy but she is going through a depression and she is not living the life Will recommended her, in fact she is working in cheap jobs again and ignored to apply for the University..so it seems like she can't live without Will and now her life is more boring and grey than before she met him.The movie might be interesting but I doubt it was better than the first one and I am sure it would be a failure . Anyway I have to read the second book to understand it better, but I dont think we need a second movie, honestly.
The first movie touched our hearts because mainly Will was there, and his story was very sad and the fact Lou and him started "something" but they did not end up together. And above all because Lou fell in love with him and he rejected her, deciding to die and leaving her alone. It was all very sad and painful. That is the thing ,Will and Lou, but I dont think people like Lou and someone else..I think almost every girl has fallen in love with Will and has cried for him.A new character, a boyfriend for Lou just doesnt work in our hearts after having seen Will.
A second movie where we only see Lou depressed and finding someone else is a bit pointless..I mean,it is obvious she would find someone else with the time, honestly now without Will on screen I am not interested in watching Lou crying, sad and acting like a fool.I had enough of her in the first movie and I dont find her a likeble character, she is quite annoying.
agree but how about a possible hallucination of him because she will be taking tablet for depression? I love this film and how it show the other side of the story. I wanted to see lou and will together. the only thing the show didn't get across wasmhow much pain he was actually in everyday.
I really loved the film, more than the book. Although, the book's ending was a little different and I enjoyed its ending more than in the movie..
Regarding the sequel, I did not love it as much as the first book and so I'm not sure there will be a second movie. I enjoyed it yes, but it was just not as captivating.
Plus! There are parts of the first book connected to the second book, that were completely excluded from the film altogether and are a little important, in my opinion. So if there is a second movie, I'm not sure how they would get around these parts.
