My gosh. New low even for IMDB. And considering what goes on here, that's saying something.
It's an amazing movie, and a very good chance for Denzel's third Oscar. Just ridiculous.

Unfortunately, most of imdb is now dominated by young, angry, comic-con nerd fanboys who downvote EVERY good, serious film (that they haven't even seen), while giving TENS to "Star Wars" or the latest super hero movie, even before they've seen it.
If it makes you feel any better, Martin Scorsese's excellent, "Silence", had 78 '1' Votes before it had opened anywhere....far more than "Fences". "Fences", by the way, is one of the very best films of the year (as is "Silence")... Meanwhile, "Star Wars" is MOSTLY '10' Votes (Yeah, OK), even BEFORE it opened....
