One of more powerful movies I have seen despite distractions

When I first started watching this movie, I felt Denzel was over-acting a bit. And seated behind us was group of black females who had to make comment after every line by Denzel. So I was thinking this is going to be long 2-3 hours.

But once this movie gets going...there is no denying how forceful the acting was. The movie was powerful enough to silence the group sitting behind me. For that I am thankful. It pulled me in different directions as Denzel character establishes grounded principles only to violate them on his choosing. Its rare I feel the need to own DVD after seeing movie in theater but this will be one of those occasions. The academy awards should just turn off their voting because you will not find better acting than Denzel for 2016. The female who played his wife should also win something.
