Painful to get through
Nonstop dialogue (did this set a record? It's got to be up there), only 3 sets, and about six characters coming and going in those sets revolving around an unlikable lead character for two hours and twenty minutes.
Ouch.
I couldn't stop looking at the clock and never thought it was possible to make Sully look this good until I saw this.
But Washington did a great job, it had good acting, and it had its good moments. With this I think it's amazing how hard DW must have worked with so many lines to memorize and act out. He never shuts up it seems for two hours. Another positive was the ability to develop and get to know the characters, but unfortunately none of this was enough to overcome the boredom and painstaking experience it was to sit through it. A much better example of a slower type movie this year is Loving.
