What crap! It's like Death of a Salemen for black people!

The trailer really throws this movie off. I was expecting something much greater than to listen to Denzel whine and moan for 2 hours in the backyard. Seriously, there was very little dialog between characters, without Troy going on about how hard his life is. It's like you're watching something that was meant to be a play, and all I kept thinking of was Death of a Salemen. They should have put this on Broadway instead of the silver screen.

That's exactly what I thought: Death of a Salesman. I lost all empathy for Troy
when he revealed his affair and impending fatherhood. What a dog !!

They did put it on Broadway, in the 80's. It is an August Wilson play.

Denzel and Viola Davis starred in a revival on Broadway in 2010.
