The Camera Outside their Window

Glad to see another freaky time travel movie. but this one lost me early on for a number of reasons. The major one was the fact the camera is facing their extremely large picture window (uh...who keeps a large window like that without at least some curtains?). Convenient coincidence?

Plus as the show moves on we see that they too can see into the other apartment with the camera right there. Wouldnt they have noticed that some time earlier? their couch faces right towards it.

I like the idea of a camera that takes pictures into the future but it strains believability that it is laways looking right at them.

Yeah, like they never would have noticed a giant camera pointed right at them! 

How many giant cameras have you seen?

It might not have been so obvious. They did mention early on seeing flashes of light from his place and with his place dark and the curtains drawn a bit leaving only the lens peeping through they might not have noticed it.

But either way, I have had neighbors who didn't realize it didn't care that everyone could see everything including a woman who showered in a window every morning.

Sour is plausible.

Yeah the set was very contrived. A huge curtainless window about the same dimensions as a photograph by chance

Why are you all saying their windows were uncovered? There were blinds. The bookie drew them before he died the thing with the girl's hand and Jasper made him think his muscle was going to kill him.

reply

Not at the neighbors place with the camera, but at their place. For some reason they just leave it free of curtains.

Not only that but the window appears to almost floor to ceiling. Most places have picture windows that start around waist level. (granted some back patios have floor to ceiling windows but that is usually in more expensive places. From the looks of the interior of their apartment it was not a very fancy place ).

Two things:

1) They had blinds, not curtains. That's very common for a cheap apartment complex. They preferred to keep their blinds open because outside their window is the apartment path, not the main street, so it seems they didn't care if their neighbors walked by and looked in.

2) The window was at waist level (or maybe slightly lower). That you can see from the sex photo since you only see from above his waist up (we can assume he's sitting down). So again, that seems pretty common for -some- apartment complexes. I agree though, others will have windows more at chest level.

And yet their initial reaction to finding the pictures is shock that he's spying on them. As though EVERY SINGLE PERSON who walks by can't see them doing things they feel should be private? In weeks, there wasn't a single picture of closed curtains? I certainly could never live like that...

I have an extremely large picture window without at least some curtains and it drives my mother crazy that I live alone...
