The fate of the Universe in hands of two fist-fighting apes... again.

Main characters acted like dumb scumbags and murderers, who had no clue what freedom actually means. I've noticed that moral values and logical thinking is absent in many modern movies and writers are incapable to create characters like Captain Picard from Star Trek.

I would like to see a sci-fi movie where actions of at least one character are based on the best solution imaginable - voted by group of well known and respected philosophers, scientists, psychologists and comedians from real life (Bill Nye, Richard Dawkins, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Maher, John Stewart, etc...). Scientists will be responsible for hero actions, comedians for hero dialogues based on actions. Common writers could write parts of antagonists who will throw challenges at protagonists. I am sure that for a salary of Hollywood star they could hire bunch of very smart people.

The collective decision is bias too. We do what's best for the individual or is more favourable in the long run for us.

Also, without mistakes or accidents (especially by human error), you don't get any action. Therefore, sadly, the contrivance works better for entertainment purposes.

I disagree. There is enough conflict present in simply trying to understand and survive the universe without needing to look for drama in stupid places. As entertainment, it only makes viewers accustomed to living in foolishness as if it were normal.

Then again, this goofy angst is what Harlock has always been about, so there is little sense in hoping it would suddenly become high-concept.
