Franchise Killing Deathblow - The Superman Returns of the JJverse

Beyond was such a stinker as predicted. Hope they have a way better reboot effort in a few years.

Paramount is pushing forward with the fourth movie, since I love these new movies I'm glad they will be making more movies for this reboot.

I honestly don't know why they keep milking a dead cow. This stuff they are churning out now is divorced from what Star Trek used to be, having to transform itself into silly space action flicks with no heart. Star Trek used to tell interesting tales that gave us some insight into the human condition, with the action flowing from this core plot. Now, it is just action first with some aping here and there so that it can pretend to be Star Trek. Even the new series is shaping up to be an exercise in political correctness first, with story coming second. All they are concerned about is having a female non-white captain and some gay characters. No franchise needs to go on forever, and I don't understand why fans can't just let go and enjoy what you already have. All good things must come to an end. When it keeps on getting run through the mud because the passionless studio wants money, you may get new product, but it is shallow junk that isn't really anything close to being what it used to be. Star Trek in Name Only.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

If part V and stuff like Generations didn't kill Star Trek then this certainly won't.

What a waste of time this film is... no excitement, no element of surprise, nobody even dies! lol, snooze-fest.

If you think this movie was bad enough to be a franchise death blow then I'm betting you haven't seen that much Star Trek. It has survived much worse.
