Trek tech..Teleporter
On the space station ST Beyond there is scene of the "city" where it shows a guy go into for a lack of a beter term... a "phone booth" AND "BEAM" him self.
I always assumed that it took a large amount of energy to beam someone and thats why there are still alot of ground and air machines.
Even in Prime (Picard) universe where the technology is more advanced Beaming is very limited.
Question:So can a average citizen hop in a teleporter booth and beam himself from LA to new York?
